The tacos al pastor, de adobada (in Baja California) or trompo (in Monterrey and northeastern Mexico) are the most popular variety of tacos in most of Mexico, originated in the City of Puebla. In July 2019 they were voted the best food in the world by the food guide site Taste Atlas.
